Cassava leaves/ Sombe, Pondu Recipe

 Cassava leafs of cassava plant. This Plant  has  leafs and roots once cooked are edible.  

 Cassava leafs are called different names based on Contries or provinces In Congo Kinshasa we call Pondu or Sombe.  Pondu are greens rich in vibers. Onces cooked they are consumed with any food that needs compliment. Example  Rice, potatoes, fufu, ...To cook your Pondu, here what what you needs: 




   ▪︎ Cassava leafs( pondu) about 2.2 Lb

     ▪︎ Oignons 1 large or 2 medium size 

        Or leak as alternative.

     ▪︎ Garlic 1 glove of garlic 

     ▪︎ Spanish 1/4 of the quantity of your Pondu

     ▪︎ oil any kind/ preferably palm oil 

     ▪︎salt (1 table spoon) 

You can add any other species of your choice. 

Duration: on Medium cook 1 ,5 hours maximum
